Two Renowned Financial Stock Have Helped Warren Buffet To Make $8.3 Billion In Just Two Months of 2021:

The two renowned financial stocks that are American Express and Bank of America have helped Warren Buffett to earn $8.3 Billion in just 2 months of 2021.

The annual letter of Warren Buffett disclosed that Berkshire Hathaway holds 18.8% of American Express, a multinational financial services corporation based in the United States.

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway invested $1.2 billion to purchase 151.61 million shares of the company at the end of 2020. The value of this share increased to $18.33 billion on December 31 last year. The value of the same investment has increased $21 billion in just two months of 2021, assuming that Berkshire’s holdings remain unchanged. This helped Warren Buffett to earn an additional profit of $2.69 billion.

Warren Buffet also purchased the stock of Bank of America, an American multinational investment bank and financial services holding company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway invested $14 billion to get holdings of 11.9% in Bank of America. The share of the Bank of America has increased 19% this year, which is now trading at $37.94 per share. Warren Buffet’s holding in Bank of America was $31 billion last year and has now increased to $36.96 billion, again Berkshire’s holdings remain unchanged since the beginning of 2021.

Collectively, these two financial stocks helped Warren Buffet to gain $8.35 billion in just the last two months.

On other hand, Warren Buffet has lost his money in another major investment made in the Moody’s Corporation. Berkshire Hathaway owns a 13.9% stake in Moody’s Corporation. This is the second-largest investment by Berkshire Hathaway. At the end of 2020, the value of this investment was 7.1 billion. But, the value of this investment has now fallen to $6.96 billion as the stock falls over 3% during the last two months.
